The bridge to a gap-free system environment
Systems for enterprise resource planning (ERP) or warehouse management (WMS) have long become standard in today’s modern enterprises. However, these systems only develop their true potential when they are networked together and beyond company boundaries.The intelligent linking of ERP systems and consolidation of their relevant data sets for managing logistics processes on the other hand is a standard element of EURO-LOG’s services. From experience, many companies may consider overcoming the limits of SAP® or another ERP or WM system to be insurmountable from both the technical and the financial standpoint.
For EURO-LOG on the other hand, the integration of SAP®, Oracle, Sage, Navision or individually programmed ERP and warehouse systems is standard routine. Thanks to the many already created interfaces to the EURO-LOG communications platform, the realization of a gap-free system environment is in many cases simply a matter of “plug and play”. Data can then be exchanged with customers, suppliers and internal business departments seamlessly, rapidly and in real time.
Tuning for ERP systems
Many of EURO-LOG’s interfaces and applications have already been certified for major ERP systems. For example, EURO-LOG’s vendor managed inventory (VMI) solution “Powered by SAP NetWeaver” ® can be unproblematically integrated into the SAP® environment. The same goes for the container management system made by EURO-LOG, which is not only integrated into the respective SAP® scenario, but also supplements and enhances its functionality.“ERP tuning” is also how the use of EURO-LOG’s forwarding module could be understood. It ensures direct and convenient freight handling in different processing steps in the SAP® logic. Without the need for high investments, the module connects all forwarders and CEP services via remote data transfer and initiates the automatic printing of labels and shipping documents. The solution also supports the financial management of transport services through carrier selection according to rates and the calculation of freight charges.
