EURO-LOG - THE INTEGRATION COMPANY FOR LOGISTICS

Tracking & Tracing around the globe

In the market since 1998, the logistics provider is responsible for assuring a reliable supply cycle for aviation spares and technical tools as well as disposing of defective parts. Apart from the entire Lufthansa fleet, a similar number of planes from other airlines are serviced. Aviation spares – due to the understandably high safety regulations – are extremely expensive. Which is why stocks are usually held according to the motto “as little as possible – as much as necessary”. This necessitates full transparency across the worldwide storage locations and all respective spares stocks. To optimize the processes and the goods flow, EURO-LOG developed a global online tracking system known as LOTS.In real time in the hall and in the vehicle – worldwide!

In real time in the hall and in the vehicle – worldwide!

A reliable supply cycle with optimal cost-effectiveness can only be guaranteed by a chain with no weak links. To forge such a stable chain, all of LTL’s customers and suppliers were integrated into the global system. Through a number of integration cycles, EURO-LOG seamlessly linked SAP systems and various isolated applications. Like this, systems for material requisition, warehouse management, material handling, dispatch and accounting can function in a closely meshed manner. The worldwide parts search application with Tracking & Tracing in real time was implemented in just five months. As part of a full-coverage solution, EURO-LOG provides the servers and the data centre for reliable data communications including administrative workplaces. EURO-LOG integrated an additional pragmatic software module for hall and vehicle scanning to ensure the rapid generation and transmission of status information to the global tracking system. Thanks to this tailor-made system, it was possible to substantially reduce warehousing, shipment times and AOG times, while at the same time increasing transport capacities by almost 30%. Enhanced service quality and significantly improved customer information and performance analysis are other key success factors attributable to the development of LOTS.
