The web-based system offers the Frankfurt-based forwarder prompt electronic shipment administration – in a paper-free and modern form via the Internet. Via EURO-LOG’s order processing module, the logistics provider receives the shipment data directly from the manufacturer’s system. The bordereaus are created fully automatically, which in turn significantly speeds up processes in the central warehouse and the distribution points. This not only puts a smile on the face of the logistics provider!With the hall scanning, the second module, a scanning procedure is carried out every time risk is transferred. This guarantees gap-free documentation. In order to ensure that the shipment is undamaged and complete, order and loading information are compared in transshipment operations. If the system has no record of the delivery or there is a discrepancy in the shipment information, it can be directly captured manually. This reduces throughput times in the warehouse and eliminates forwarding errors. Similarly, at every scanning point, the package number, time and place of the goods transfer are recorded. Status information through to the delivery status to the local dealer thus flow via GPRS into the database hosted by EURO-LOG and are made available to the forwarding company via the third module, Tracking & Tracing in real time.
The system creates transparency across each single processing step. Like this, the logistics provider can trace the transport and delivery information at all times – and at the same time offer customers an up-to-the-minute overview via a separate access.
