EURO-LOG’s client concept for bulk transport operations also manages shipments dispatched on behalf of third parties. Out of its routine forwarding operations, for example, INGRAM MICRO also dispatches goods on behalf of amazon. And because EURO-LOG’s shipment control also includes commercial freight charge accounting, INGRAM MICRO incurs no additional expenses in its transport cost accounting. The transport costs for the amazon shipments are settled directly between amazon and the respective logistics services providers.Success is force times flexibility
The shipment rules of the EURO-LOG module work like a filter which every single consignment has to pass through. Criteria, such as consignor town or the postcode of the consignee address or other individual identifiers, can be defined for the configuration of these rules. The consignments are then automatically allocated out of bulk transport operations to the desired transport contractors. Within the context of optimizing the services provider portfolio, the system also makes it possible to connect or block a logistics provider for certain routes in real time.The client concept and shipment rules of EURO-LOG’s shipment control offer a pragmatic and diverse instrument for customized and cost-effective bulk forwarding – with just a few clicks of the mouse!
