EURO-LOG at Transport Logistic: Digital logistics. End-to-end. In real time.

Using the slogan “Digital logistics. End-to-end. In real time”, Euro-Log AG, one of the leading providers of IT and integration solutions in the logistics sector, is presenting at Transport Logistic from 4th to 7th June in Munich, at Booth 200 in Hall A3. The focus of the trade fair appearance is current customer projects in the digitalisation of logistics processes and the results of the IoT research project, DProdLog. Visitors to the booth will discover more about the sector-wide use of innovative technologies for real-time control in logistics by means of topic-specific Q&A sessions. Furthermore, an interactive VR environment allows them to discover how containers fitted with sensors are independently managed within the scope of the DProdLog project.

Virtual reality demonstrates intelligent container cycle

The DProdLog research project initiated by Euro-Log tracks the prototypical realisation of a modular IoT service platform in order to digitalise production-related logistics services. In doing so, containers fitted with sensors communicate independently via the platform and share what they contain, where they are and when they need to be replaced or filled. Moreover, they collect information on external influences, such as vibrations during transport or the temperature. Indeed, the innovative technologies used reflect the influence of Industry 4.0 in logistics. Visitors can take a fun look in virtual reality at the automated container cycle through DProdLog at the booth.

Digital logistics for all sectors

Companies from all sectors are faced with the challenge of Logistics 4.0 and the associated digitalisation of their logistical processes. The logistics IT service provider is confronting this challenge and demonstrates, based on best practices from the industry, trade and eCommerce as well as logistics and transport services, how logistics chains can be automated and controlled in real time. The technologies used for digitalising multi-modal supply chains and contractual chains form the basis for artificial intelligence and predictive analytics in logistics.

Automated notification and real-time track & trace are digitalising automotive logistics

During the trade fair, the IT service provider offers daily Q&A sessions about the challenges the sector is facing. The logistics experts explain how the automotive sector can guarantee deliveries to the plant through the seamless integration of procurement and transport management, among other things. Crucial here are the processing and provision of information in real time along the entire logistics chain. The IT solutions from Euro-Log ensure end-to-end process stability and register any process deviations in the track & trace system based on defined measuring points. The resulting alerts enable the dispatchers to adopt corrective measures at an early stage.

Topic-specific Q&A sessions provide answers to questions from the sector

Further core topics include the use of mobile logistics apps for transport service providers and freight forwarders, innovative technologies in container management as well as shipment tracking across service providers in real time. Participants in the Q&A sessions do not just gain an insight into the latest developments and trends, but also get the opportunity to directly exchange ideas with logistics experts from Euro-Log and gain answers to key questions about the sector. At www.eurolog.com/transport-logistic, interested parties will find further information about topic-specific Q&A sessions and can register for the session of their choice.
